Who is André Gendron as a hair stylist?
I started my career in Montreal, Canada. In the early 70’s I personally trained with Vidal Sassoon in London and Alexandre in Paris.
Over the years I have owned 16 hair salons either alone or
in partnership. I have had the honor to represent Canada at
“The Hair World Championship”. I have won several
competitions, in Canada and internationally.
Training other winning hairstylists for competitions and holding my gold medal as an International Judge, are among my most cherished accomplishments. Platform artist, educator and stylist for photo shoots, plays, operas and fashion shows are some of the ways I have expressed my creativity.
Working with clients, since 2000 at Chic Salon, is how I most enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for my art. Discovering what pleases you with your hair, educating you in the proper use of products to support your chosen style, and showing you how to accomplish the result you want in an atmosphere of honesty, appreciation and enjoyment are what I now wish to offer you.

Color is as personal as you are. Because of this, I no longer use a standardized approach. Your needs determine the products and techniques used. Also part of the equation are the length and thickness of your hair since they determine the amount of product and the length of time required. The prices listed here are only starting prices. Cancellation List
In case we cannot fulfill your wishes for an appointment, have your name put on my cancellation list. Be patient. There are always cancellations. We will not forget you. We will work at bringing you in.
When You Can’t Make it
I understand there might be times when you can’t make an appointment. But if you don’t tell me, it not only hurts you, it also deprives me and it cheats the person who could have come in your place.
If we can reach you we will confirm your appointment the day before. But since, as a professional, I do not double book appointments (in case of no-shows), a cancellation fee of 50% of the total appointment will apply if you do not give me 24 hours notice. I trust you will understand.
